The Drama Ministry is an exciting and growing ministry of New Hanover UMC.  We see drama as a powerful form of communication that can be used to illustrate, challenge, confront, entertain and inspire.

The Drama Ministry has engaged in many full-feature drama presentations written by Pastor Gil Vining in collaboration with Kathy Galtere, such as The Thief (performed Easter 2007), The Manger Maker (performed Easter 2008), Little One (performed Christmas 2008), The Three Marys (performed Easter 2009), Watch the Lamb (performed Easter 2010) and various scenarios of Journey to Bethlehem (outdoor Christmas interactive drama).  The team has also provided dramatic skits and video presentations for use during special holiday services, regular services for event publicity and sermon illustration.

Dramas are planned by the drama team and members of the congregation are recruited to participate as actors, directors, set builders, costume makers, and makeup artists.
