As use of the internet grows, many concerns arise over personal information that
is accessed or collected through websites. Although most of the personal
information available on the internet is also publicly available elsewhere,
there are some common and valid concerns related to the ease of access and
collection of information. Because of this, we want you to know what we do (and
don’t do) with any personal information that we receive from you.
Questions regarding these guidelines can be directed to:

Children’s
Guidelines
1. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that
we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 through
NHUMC website, we will delete that information. Children (under the age of 13)
wanting to register online will be asked to do so under the supervision of their
parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
2. NHUMC encourages
parents to go online with their child to make the experience safer. Below are a
few safe tips about the internet:
§
Teach your children
never to give personal information online, unless a parent, guardian, or
responsible adult supervises them. Personal information includes name, phone,
school, town, age, etc.
§
Check the sites your
children visit to see if they are safe and appropriate.
§
While on those sites,
visit the website privacy policies and see how they treat your child’s
information.
§
Check out the Federal
Trade Commission’s site for more tips on protecting children’s privacy online.
