Pastor David M. Lewis

Pastor Dave is the Senior Pastor at New Hanover United Methodist Church. He was appointed to organize this new congregation in July 1987. He is a graduate of Temple University, Wesley Theological Seminary and is a Vietnam vet. He and Debbie have been married 36 years. They met at Temple U. where Debbie was on the gymnastics team and Dave was on the rowing team. The Lewis' have three grown children. Kelley Groner, married to Joe, teaches high school art in Erie, PA. Lindsey Markelz, married to Andy, does social work in Philadelphia. David B. lives at home. Pastor Dave jogs almost every day, plays on the church softball team and enjoys biking with Debbie, backpacking, hunting and fishing. He believes his primary job as a pastor is to maintain the health of the church - the Body of Christ - so that worship, discipleship, ministry, mission, and fellowship are thriving. |

Pastor Gil is the Associate Pastor at NHUMC and serves by preaching at the Saturday Night Service and pastoring the Lay Pastors, Drama Team, Missions Committee, and Children's Ministry. He is a graduate of Liberty and Trinity University and is passionate about pastoring the hearts of people, writing scripts and stories, sports, hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Dawn, have four children: son Brandon, his wife Shannon and granddaughters Reagan and Allegra, son Jonathan and his wife Amanda and grandson Lance, and daughters Keisha and Laura. |

Brant Lingle

Pastor Brant serves by building and leading the worship and media teams, and designs our worship services to help lead the congregation into meaningful worship each week. He holds both a bachelor's and master's degree from Philadelphia Biblical University and completed the Oasis Ministry Program for Spiritual Direction. Brant, and his wife Erin, have three children; Carney, Mercy and Luke. His passions include contemplative prayer, spiritual direction, music and worship. He also enjoys walking with Erin, NFL football, biking, playing basketball, and X-box. |

Rick Adams

Pastor Rick has been working with Junior and Senior High students since the mid-nineties serving churches and organizations in Ohio, Florida, and now here at NHUMC. He also spent 7 years in the corporate world mostly in Staffing and Personnel for a large residential developer and later providing IT staff augmentation for the pharmaceutical industry. His goal in ministry is to help students find and hold onto the potential and purpose they have in Christ and to realize there is more to life than just getting by. Rick enjoys spending time with his wife Alicia and two daughters Grace and MaryJane, playing music and is abnormally addicted to facebook and texting. |

Monica Shanley
Director of Lay Ministry

Monica serves by connecting new and current members into the life and ministry of the church, coordinating Foundations classes, developing ministries and leaders, participating on worship team, and utilizing church software to track attendance. Monica’s children are Stephen, attending Geneva College in Beaver Falls, and Joanna, recent graduate of Valley Forge Christian College. Oldest daughter, Abby, died from cancer after living a life of courage, faith, and love. She was a founding member and former music director and worship leader at Catacombs Church (now Harvest Fellowship), and attended Penn State University and Northeast Bible College. Employed full-time at NHUMC since 1998, Monica is enjoying participation in Disciple class, leading worship for the children of Creative Moments, singing with The Dave Stahl Sacred Orchestra, and being a spokesperson for Miracle House in New York City. She is also an active member of the Boyertown YMCA. |

Linda Sams

Linda serves full-time by running the church office, overseeing church usage and maintaining church communications. She also is active with Disciple Class and has served on the youth ministry team. She has over 20 years of experience in executive business administration in various fields and has been a member of New Hanover UMC since 1993. Linda, and her husband Bryan, have two grown daughters: Melissa (who is married to Jesse Detweiler) and Michelle (a junior at Shippensburg University). She delights in helping others, walking, reading, playing Wii, decorating, and spending time with her family and friends. |

Zeena Hooper
Children's Ministry Coordinator

Zeena serves as our Children’s Ministry Coordinator overseeing all children birth to 6th grade and the 100 or so volunteers that serve throughout Gloryville on any given Saturday night or Sunday morning. Zeena has had a successful career leading multiple technology and call center teams in multiple states. She holds a BS in Computer Science. Zeena has also served in various roles in other churches throughout her life. She served as a Stephen Leader, leading and training others in Pastoral Care, and was on staff at First Baptist Ovilla in Ovilla, Texas where she performed administrative and marketing functions. Zeena leaves in Schwenksville with her husband, Mark (who serves on the praise team and sound board), and children, Ryan, Jazmine and Olivia.
