Recreation is an important aspect of a healthy Christian life, and our church offers many opportunities for people to connect in an atmosphere of sport and fun throughout the year. We are blessed with a facility that will support recreational activities.
The annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is held on the quiet back roads behind our church. The course follows scenic rolling hills alongside Swamp Creek Park and the Gilbertsville Golf Club. This event is perfect for first time participants and a favorite for those who have enjoyed the run since our initial race in 2001. Click here for more information and to register for our next race.
Our church joins other local churches in this fun, co-ed slow-pitch softball league. Both competitive and recreational teams form for players ages 14 (by January 1) and up.
Fellowship of Fore is made up of men and women of all ages (and from different churches) that play golf together during the summer. Cost is $13 per person – meet by the practice green of the Gilbertsville Golf Course.
The Trail Riders ministry is open to bicyclists of all levels. This active group rides for about an hour on various trails in the area. Fellowship afterward. Join their Facebook page to get updates on future rides.
Weekly competitive pick-up games are played throughout the school year in our main sanctuary.
Adult co-ed, drop-in recreational volleyball is played most Friday evenings in the main sanctuary. All skill levels are encouraged to come. A great way to relieve stress from the work week and make new friends.
Martial Arts expert Mark Eliasson teaches karate lessons (including belt testing) for ages 10 and up. Summer schedule varies.
A group of motorcycle enthusiasts has formed at our church to share a common love for motorcycles and Christ as they come together for rides, to serve, and to reach out to the biker community.
