At Creative Moments, our goal is to help each child reach his or her God-given potential through learning, play, and social interaction. Our classes and before/after care ensure that every child in our program ages 3 through 6th grade receives the attention and enrichment they need to grow toward this goal.
Our half-day and full-day preschool programs are designed to complement each child’s social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual growth through developmentally appropriate activities. An integrated curriculum centered on exciting monthly themes provides creative hands-on activities.
In addition to having preschool class time from 9:00-11:30 am, the full-day program expands on the joys and stimulation of cooperative, imaginative play and creative arts. Children receive a nutritious lunch and afternoon snack, as well as an afternoon resting time.
This program is designed for students attending a private or public kindergarten, providing care before school (and after, if needed) and supplementing what the children learn at school. We focus on enhancing each child’s growth through group games, art projects, and cooperative play. Weekly Chapel time and gym classes are provided, and children receive a nutritious lunch every day. Bus transportation is provided between Gilbertsville and New Hanover/Upper Frederick Elementary Schools.
This program is for children in 1st through 6th grade who attend Gilbertsville and New Hanover/Upper Frederick Elementary Schools. Before school, children have a choice of several different activities to keep them occupied until buses arrive, around 8:15 am. After school care begins when buses drop children off, around 3:45 pm. Students in the 5-day program participate in a fitness program that includes walking or running and active group games. Once a month, the children work on a “Kids Helping Kids” service project, where they make a delicious treat for the Pottstown Soup Kitchen, which New Hanover’s Student Ministry supports. Care is available for early dismissals and days off school, if needed.
Our goal for the School’s Out program is to offer a safe, fun, and educational experience for your child. We provide emotional and physical growth through our planned activities, and our trained staff works to provide your child with a positive summer experience. All field trips are included in the tuition.
Just like school-year preschool, our summer preschool program features small child-to-teacher ratios and curriculum centered on fun summer themes. Creative hands-on activities are provided, as well as age-appropriate and theme-related field trips. Children visit the Pottstown YMCA weekly for swimming lessons and free swim time. A nutritious lunch and afternoon snack are provided, as well as afternoon resting time.
Weekly themes include Drama, Fitness, The Environment, Science, History, Camping, Sports, and Mysteries. These themes inspire activities such as swimming, games, journaling, field trips, and a Summer Reading Program through the Boyertown Library. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided as well as a nutritious lunch. Creative Moments rents a bus from Klein Transportation for the summer, and we have two licensed bus drivers on staff.
